Meet Kristie O'Brien

Kristie O'Brien

A native Arizonan, Kristie was born and raised in the East Valley. She is one of two children born to Michael and Gail O’Brien. She grew up in Chandler and is a graduate of Dobson High School.

Kristie received her B.A. in International Relations from Trinity University, in Washington, DC, a Certificate in International Studies from The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Washington, DC and her Juris Doctorate from Bond University Law School, Australia. Kristie has also participated in educational exchanges to Khon Kaen University, Thailand and Leiden University Law School, the Netherlands.

Kristie is member of the New York State Bar and American Bar Association. She is also an Arizona trained mediator. Her legal background includes environmental, corporate, employment, intellectual property, entertainment and international criminal law.

Kristie supports the men and women of the U.S. military and is the proud granddaughter of a World War II veteran and the niece of an Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm veteran. Members of Kristie’s family have served in four of the five branches of the U.S. military.

Kristie’s interests include strengthening Arizona’s public education K-12, child welfare and improving the local economy. She also has a great interest in the prevention of domestic violence, abuse and the trafficking of women and children.

Kristie is focused on making Arizona’s future brighter and bringing a sensible voice to Arizona politics. She is committed to representing the needs of all Arizonans.

Kristie resides in Gilbert with her rescued boxer who she is training to become a therapy service animal.
