Veterans' Affairs

Return to Issues Page

The blood, sweat, tears and sacrifices of our Veterans are those of our great nation. Therefore, there is no reason why any Veteran should go hungry, be homeless, unemployed or go without necessary medical care or benefits.

As your State Senator, I will fight each and every day to keep the benefits our Veterans are rightfully owed, to fill the gaps where services are lacking, and provide support for our troops returning home to Arizona.

For those who have served, thank you!

For those who have lost a loved one in service to our country, I believe President Lincoln’s words conveyed the nation’s sentiment most appropriately:

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom. -- November 21, 1864 Letter to Lydia Bixby
